I'm not overly savvy with hardware or drivers but I can understand some of the lingo and can follow instructions reasonably well. I have searched the internet, tried disabling Realtek, uninstaling Realtek, changing settings etc and the issue is seemingly fixed but after time Realtek takes over and the issues start again.Īlso note, my battery life is not what it used to be so the charger is plugged in most of the time. Sometimes it interferes with headphone usage. I get the hissing in my headphones, and not long afterwards the sound stops completely, or it randomly switches back and forth from headphones to speakers. This can happen randomly throughout my usage but it mostly occurs on start-up. Over the last 6 months or so, a static, screeching kinda sound starting coming from the main inbuilt speakers, even though they do not work with audio. Also didn't find that to be a major issue as I mostly use headphones. Then afterwards (Not sure how long after) the speakers stopped working too. Didn't find that a major issue, so I ignored it and adjusted the volume control via the volume mixer. This has become a serious pain in my ass as I am a heavy listener of music and watcher of tv series streaming.Īround a year ago the keyboard buttons for volume control stopped working, around the time of Windows 10 being downloaded. My Toshiba Satellite is currently having intermittent sound issues.
